Chris Durkin
President & CEO
Chris has worked in the design and real estate development industry for over 20 years. He started his career as a design professional for structural engineering firms, working on both commercial and residential real estate. In recent years, he has acted as principal and successfully acquired, re-positioned, and completed more than 50 real estate development projects totaling more than $200MM in market value.
Chris is well-versed and involved in all phases of the project from acquisition, equity raise & financing, conceptual design, and the difficulty of navigating the city approvals process. His roles include overseeing, and at times, managing the execution of each complex and unique construction project.
Drawing on his experience with large commercial projects ranging from $50MM-$100MM, he applies a broad, big picture skill set to developing some of the most beautiful and high-profile residential buildings in the Bay Area.
Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California. He maintains a Professional Engineering License as well as his General Contracting License.

Brad Phillips
Project Manager
For 23 years Brad has worked in the construction industry— beginning as an Ironworker rehabilitating bridges throughout the Northeastern United States. With a desire to expand his skills and abilities further, he accepted a leadership role as Director of Operations at a civil construction firm in upstate NY where he helped guide the team towards success.
Prior to joining Durkin Inc, Brad worked for one of the largest employee-owned construction firms in the US with an annual revenue exceeding $750MM. During his time with the firm, he managed projects for clients such as US Navy, Maine DOT, PENN DOT, and New York State Thruway among others.
Brad believes in dignity, hard work, honesty, and respect. He brings these values to Durkin, Inc. where he strives to deliver a quality construction project that is safe and on time.

Alex Bracht
Field Superintendent
Alex began his career in 1997 at his family-owned property management firm. Among other services, the company performed complete remodels of multifamily rental properties. He then transitioned to working with experienced General Contractors throughout San Francisco including Jeff King, Peter Bull, Clayton Timbrell, Danny Bernardini, and Kevin Wallace.
Alex has been involved in over 40 projects in the Bay Area ranging from $500K to $20MM and has had the fortune of completing projects with many of the region’s finest architects and designers including Eric Dumican and Paul Wiseman.
With a desire to grow his skills and abilities further, Alex joined Durkin, Inc in 2018. He brings integrity, a strong work ethic, and reliability to his position as Superintendent. Being part of an exceptional team where safety, honesty and creativity are at the core of the Company is especially a point of pride for him. Alex is multilingual and holds a General Contractor License.

Meredith Phillips
Project Coordinator
Meredith brings 25+ years of administrative and managerial experience to her role at Durkin Incorporated. Having worked in both the public and private sectors has given her a wealth of knowledge. She is depended upon to navigate the daily challenges of the office and does so with great skill. She is a passionate team player who brings a sense of hard work and dependability to all she does.
Meredith is exceptionally detail-oriented, allowing her to conduct deep-level data analysis of multiple aspects of each project. She is proficient in juggling several roles while maintaining a high level of professionalism and efficiency. Her goal is to deliver outstanding service acting as the liaison between both clients and vendors.
Meredith is an alumnus of Marist College, receiving her Paralegal Certification, Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and her Master’s in Public Administration.
